In 2002, Elena Legashova graduated from the St. Petersburg State University, Faculty of Law; in 2008, she undertook a further study at the International Law Institute in Washington, USA. Elena has an experience of working in governmental bodies - for 5 years she worked at the Legal Department of the Pulkovskaya Customs.

Elena is a member of St. Petersburg Bar Association since 2007 and used to work in a big Russian law firm. In 2015 she joined to IUSLAND Law Offices as a partner.

Elena serves as a lecturer on Customs law at the Faculty of Law of the St. Petersburg State University.

Elena Legashova is highly acknowledged as an expert at international trade and customs law. She advises on foreign trade contract (FTC), currency regulation and control.

Elena represents clients – both corporate entities and individuals, including those involved into the international trade, in their cooperation with counterparties and governmental bodies; she protects clients’ interests in litigation processes of federal and arbitration courts.

Elena Legashova also support clients and provides legal advice on various questions related to protection of business reputation.

Since 2009 The Best Lawyers’ international peer review guide recommends Elena for Customs and Excise Law, Labor and Employment Law, Regulatory Practice, Trade Law and also for Administrative Law and Litigation, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Media and Public Law, Project Finance and Development Practice.

The Best Lawyers 2020 recognized Elena Legashova as the Lawyer of the Year in Customs and Excise law, in 2021 - the Lawyer of the Year in the field of Administrative law.

By Decree of the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs dated December 28, 2020, Elena Legashova was included in the list of arbitrators of the North-Western Territorial Collegium of the Arbitration Center under the RUIE.

In 2022, Elena Legashova was included in the short list of "Best Lawyers" in the field of Foreign Economic Activity of the annual rating of the Kommersant Publishing House "Leaders in the legal services market", and was also included in the list of recommended lawyers in the field of Foreign Economic Activity/Customs law and currency regulation of the Pravo.ru-300.
